Dementia/Alzheimers Workshop

Last week I went to a workshop on Dementia and Alzheimers at Elderly Services in Middlebury. There was excellent information disseminated to the attendees by a woman from the Memory Center at Porter Nursing Home. Many of the resources she shared confirmed what we already knew about my father and his fairly recent diagnosis of Dementia. Dementia changes your life and the lives of those around you. Over time it is debilitating, stressful and frustrating for loved ones.

Life's Full Circle

Life's Full Circle blog is meant to be a place for people to come to share their experiences with caring for aging or ailing parents. So many of us in our 50's, the baby boomers, are now caring for our parents in their 70's and 80's. This can be stressful, even frustrating at times but rewarding in ways that words can not express. It is what we need to do as children, as adult children, of parents who have given us so much.

Life's Full Circle is also meant to be a place where resources will be available for caregivers and for those supporting caregivers.
